Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. The Business Development Representative is ultimately responsible for generating leads for handing over to sales executives, to generate new business for the company.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers. You will also ensure proper after-sales service. If you are motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.
Job Responsibilities
· Identifying and qualifying prospective customers
· Composing messages and writing basic proposals to prospective clients
· Coordinating sales calls between prospective clients and sales team members
· Communicating with clients and prospective clients via email & messaging platforms
· Providing after-contract service consultations, upgrades, and sales to existing clients
Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
· 2+ Years of Experience as a Business Development Representative, Lead Generation Virtual Assistant, or similar role
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Software Engineering, or relevant field
· Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
· Historical track record of exceeding sales quotas
· Understanding of sales performance metrics
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Ability to manage spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
· Native-level fluency in written English
· Ability to type in English at a rate of 60+ WPM
Preferred:
· Experience with UpWork.com
· Experience with ClickUp project management software
· Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes
· Experience in the IT of Software Development industry
· Technical certifications related to Project Management, IT, or Software Development.
