This is Jenna Mae Iglesia. For more than 9 years, I worked as a General Accountant. Basically, I maintain full set of accounts for the company. My role is to do bank reconciliations, recording transactions, preparation of invoices, sales reports and payroll and preparation of financial statements. I have also assisted year-end audits for my previous jobs. In my current job as a General Accounting Associate in a BPO company, I focus on reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, cash projections, preparation of AR aging and Overdue report. Our client is from Italy, France, Spain and Portugal so we are working remotely. Because of the technical work involved, there’s quite a lot of communication that I handle like requesting for the documentation necessary for processing and completing my tasks.
With regards to my technical experience with accounting software, I have more than 6 years of experience working with QuickBooks with company in the Fast food and warehousing industries. In my current job, we are using different accounting software such as SAP, Sage, and Axapta. Along with these accounting tools, I have been using Microsoft excel throughout my entire career and have become very adept with it, often teaching myself new things and bringing them back to my team. For example in my current role, I have created a macro enabled template for the Weekly and Monthly overdue report of our client. The handling time for the report became much lower because of the macro that I have made but still providing the same quality report. I also frequently use VLOOKUP function as well as creation of pivot tables. I’d be excited to share my skills with a new team and quickly get up to speed on your proprietary software as I have with the other tools in the post.
