Last May 2019, I engaged myself in the 12-day training of DICT, the Digital Jobs PH Technical Training. It was all about, Digital Marketing and E-commerce course. So, for us to proceed to the course, each one of us was given MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise) here in Bohol. Our task is to create a website for them, run campaigns for them, and of course generate sales. In my part, my MSME is the Bahalina de Loon, a local jungle red wine located here in our town, Loon. Along with the training, I learned a lot, I discovered new skills that I continue developing until now. I created the website, add their products on it, generate articles and blogs about their products, run campaigns for them thru social media marketing, and at the end of the training, I was so blessed because my MSME or the Bahalina de Loon was able to generate sales thru the campaign I run.
My service to the ends also when the training ends. They never got to renew me for the reason their daughter is my colleague during the training. So, their daughter continues to run campaigns for their business until today. Also, during the graduation on Training, our adviser created a group. This group was called Loon Blogger’s Society. We, the graduates pursued this of course to pay back on the support that our LGU showed to us and also to help our municipality to advertise the local tourist spots here, engage awareness of the tradition we had here, and gain insights into our visitors who are planning to visit Loon. That’s where we volunteer to write blogs, to advertise, engage and gain insights into our travelers.
After the training, there I desperately look for another job online because I can’t wait to show off my skills learned during the training. There I found the SocialMediaInfluencer job by WERSocialInfluencers last September 2019 thru OnlineJobsPH. This job is all about influencing some US Netizens or they have a list of potential clients, we are going to add them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram and once they accepted my request, there will I start convincing them to avail themselves the company’s services which is running a campaign thru ads. We are given scripts on what to say but we have to be more convincing. The pressure of being constantly creative is tough, and on top of that, you need to stay consistent and deliver high-value content every time you post because you can only generate sales or get your commission once you convinced clients who are going to avail of the services they got to offer. After my 3 months contract, I never got myself to renew even if I was offered a contract renewal, it’s just that I believe in myself that I can look for a better job than being a social influencer. That is where my contract ends last December 2019.
Also, last September 2019, the third week, I was hired here in our Local Government Unit as a GIS Operator. I am currently employed until nowhere in our LGU.
In the middle of December, there I found the DataSawarm Technologies thru someone we know who is also connected to the DICT. There I got a try to apply for the job post, luckily, I was given the chance to take their training given before the job proper. After the training given, I was luckily get hired. The job was pure data entry. We just need to extract some documents from the pdf form to some filling the blanks form. We need to enter in their portal the data that they are looking for. Gladly I was hired by the company until now, but as of the moment they are having slow projects since January-March is their peak season
